We are Recruiting!

We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals who are interested in supporting our Charity to further develop Disability Sport in Perth & Kinross.  We are looking for a new Chairperson and also additional Trustees to expand the range of skills we already have.  If you think you would like to be involved, then please get in touch or click on the links for further information.


PKDS Boccia Club

Please note that the class is cancelled on Thursday 8 June due to an event taking place at the Academy of Sport & Wellbeing - we will return the following week on Thursday 15 June at the new time of 4.30pm-6pm.  The new cost per week will be £3.75.  We look forward to seeing you on the 15th.


PKDS Annual General Meeting

Our AGM is being held on Thursday 18 May 2017 at 7pm in the Dewars Centre, Glover Street, Perth.  Everyone is welcome


Tayside Track & Field Championships 2017

PKDS are hosting the above event at the George Duncan Athletics Arena for juniors and seniors on 10 May 2017.  You can download the Cover Letter, Entry Form and Event details and submit your entry to us.  If you would like to help in any way at the event, then please get in touch with us.


Co-op Local Community Fund

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to be part of the Co-op Local Community Fund!  This means that through your Co-op Membership, you can choose to support us - members can choose to give 1% of what they spend on Co-op branded products and services to our cause.  Please consider us and if you aren't a member already, why  not sign up - you get 5% rewards too!  The Co-op have generously kick-started their support by giving us some funding from the 5p carrier bag levy so we are off to a great start.  Let all your friends and family know that they can support us too by choosing us a their local cause - thankyou!  You can find out more by visiting www.coop.co.uk/membership

 


 

**New Sessions**

PKDS have started new weekly sessions at the fantastic new Academy of Sport & Wellbeing, Perth College.  We now have a Boccia Club and a Pathways to Success session - please have a look at the flyer for further information.

 


 

ParalympicsGB Boccia Rio 2016

Perth & Kinross Disability Sport are delighted to share the news that local athlete Joshua Rowe has been selected as part of the team heading off to Rio this summer!  Huge congratulations to Joshua and of course his fantastic family network who offer him so much valuable support.

Joshua is part of the  team of 10 boccia athletes and four competition partners announced by the British Paralympic Association (BPA), including reigning individual BC4 World Champion and Pairs BC4 European Champion Stephen McGuire and London 2012 medallists David Smith and Nigel Murray MBE.

Joshua is a BC2 player who has dedicated many hours to training and competitions to ensure selection at the Games and we wish him the very best of luck in Rio!!
