Tayside Track & Field Event

The Tayside Track & Field event will be hosted for the second year at the George Duncan Athletics Arena, Perth Grammar School
on 2 May 2018 for children and adults with physical, learning and sensory disabilities.  We are looking for volunteers to support this
event - we can guarantee you a very rewarding day and you will be provided with support to carry out your role and lunch.  Please

Indoor Bowls

Perth & Kinross Disability Sport are delighted to be working in partnership with Blackford Bowling Club, Live Active Leisure and Scottish
Disability Sport to deliver indoor bowling sessions for children and adults with disabilities at the Dewars Centre, Glover Street, Perth.  The
sessions are free and will take place on Saturday 17 March 2018 when 3 different time slots are available to book.  Please download the
flyer for further information and complete the registration form if you would like to attend.  Ron Anderson at Blackford Bowling Club can
be contacted on 07736391819 if you would like specific information regarding the day's event itself or you can return to us (details are on
the form). Blackford Bowling Club successfully delivered several outdoor sessions last summer and are really keen to support bowlers all
year round.


Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100

We are very excited that we have secured 4 Golden Bond Charity places in the prestigious Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 cycle
event in 2018 - if you or a team are interested in cycling to raise money for us then please download our application form and get in
touch!  The ballot closed very recently - if you are unsuccessful but would like to raise sponsorship by using our places, we would
love to hear from you - we have a very reasonable fundraising target of £500 as we appreciate fundraising in the current climate
can be challenging - but you are free to raise more than this amount to support our activities!

Tayside Sportshall Athletics - last call out for entries!

Please note that final deadlines for entries to this event for school pupils P5+ is this Wednesday 10 January - don't miss out!
Contact us if you need further information.   We have also had an unprecedented level of entries this year and are looking
for volunteers to support the event.  Please have a look at the Job Role and get in touch if this is you.


Co-op Local Community Fund

We are delighted to announce that we have been successful in our application to be part of the Community Fund for a second
round!  This means that through your Co-op Membership, you can choose to support us - members can choose to give 1% of
what they spend on Co-op branded products and services to our cause. Please consider us and if you aren't a member already,
why not sign up - you get 5% rewards too! Let all your friends and family know that they can support us too by choosing us a

almost £1500 we secured in the first round to purchase further equipment to support our forthcoming Sportshall Athletics event
which is just fantastic for all our athletes - thankyou to The Co-op.

Sport in Perth & Kinross.  We are looking for a new Chairperson and also additional Trustees to expand the range of skills we

ParalympicsGB Boccia Rio 2016

Perth & Kinross Disability Sport are delighted to share the news that local athlete Joshua Rowe has been selected as part of the team heading off to Rio this summer!  Huge congratulations to Joshua and of course his fantastic family network who offer him so much valuable support.

Joshua is part of the  team of 10 boccia athletes and four competition partners announced by the British Paralympic Association (BPA), including reigning individual BC4 World Champion and Pairs BC4 European Champion Stephen McGuire and London 2012 medallists David Smith and Nigel Murray MBE.

Joshua is a BC2 player who has dedicated many hours to training and competitions to ensure selection at the Games and we wish him the very best of luck in Rio!!
